It looks like a chip to me but try cleaning the edge and see if the the spot removes and the bevel is intact. If so, try shaving. I would run a very light stream of water on the edge after cleaning...

Can you shoot a magnified picture of the spot.? It doesn't have to be 100x, 20x and we may be able to give you a better answer.
