I was actually thinking of a woodworking friend of mine that lives on a sailboat. He keeps his carving tools in boxes that all have zinc back plates in them that the blades lay on while being stored.

So why not just use regular washers and store your razor closed, upside down, on top of a zinc plate (with the spine resting on the plate)?
You get a lot more sacrificial metal, the corrosion grit...
