I could have used lower grit sandpaper to start,...
I could have used lower grit sandpaper to start, but I didn't want to take off too much too fast and take a chance on messing up the geometry of the blade...
I also stayed off the etching as much... -

I used 600 and 1200 grit wet sanding and finished...

Ok she is pinned. Question now is is, do I make it high gloss, or low? I'm thinkng,to match the blade... I'm quite proud of the outcome for my first attempt.

Needs a lot of cleaning. The scales are warped
and shrunken to the point that the blade can not close.
