For what it's worth, I get more stiction on my soft and hard Arks than on my: PHIG, Welsh Slates (I have 3), Norton 8K, and either of my barber hones. To the point where I almost can't move the razor...

Wait a minute there, when you say barber hone boxes do you mean actual synthetic barber hones, or Arkansas stones that were sold to barbers for honing? Because the 2 are very different animals....
