Ok. It's frustrating because the middle section of the strop isn't even being touched by my razor, just the two ends where the strop curls.

I guess I could bend them. I have the strop hanging on hook right now with a 15 lbs dumbbell at the bottom. I think this might help.

When I attach it to the radiator, I am sitting...
When I attach it to the radiator, I am sitting down next to it. I pull it tight and hold the square metal piece only. The strop is pretty much horizontal.

Repairing Strop
My strop curls on both ends making it impossible to strop. Does anyone know how to correct the curling of the edges? I put oil on the edges but to no avail. Thanks.
