I've got enough to get me up to 8k then chrox paddle and stropping but i still get a certain amount of pulling which seems to be not enough polishing or at least the chrox is struggling to polish out...

I guess i'm looking for pros and cons of both. My dilemma at the moment is whether to buy a Naniwa 12k for £67 or buy a Dovo Best quality 6/8" razor for £74 ??
