I think I will take it slow and learn when it can do. So I will first use it to refresh an edge and compare the results under magnification (microscope at about 200x) with a known grit - say my 12K...

This just in from http://thesuperiorshave.com - a select Belgian Coticule. I love the finish I get on a Thurnigian stone so I thought I'd try a Coticule and see how that goes.
