Finally got a coticule...looking forward to trying it.
This just in from http://thesuperiorshave.com - a select Belgian Coticule. I love the finish I get on a Thurnigian stone so I thought I'd try a Coticule and see how that goes.
I'll let you know.

How are you going to use it? Bevel set then go to the coticule? Or are you going to use it as a finisher? Nice looking stone once you get it down you will like the edges. You can still finish on the Thuringian. Try it both ways and see what you like. Good luck.

I think I will take it slow and learn when it can do. So I will first use it to refresh an edge and compare the results under magnification (microscope at about 200x) with a known grit - say my 12K Naniwa in terms of stria. So I think I would go with straight water on the hone and no slurry and see if it will finish.
Looking forward to some experimentation. I will probably post in the honing forum and see what folks recommend.
