Thanks Ray - I'll try that next time. I did sand with micro mesh wet. I had a tin of water at the lathe and kept the pads wet. Did make a mess though!

Finished this up tonight - first try with acrylic! I used micro-mesh wet sanding and then a carnuba wax for the final polish. I don't take very good pictures - it looks better than this in person. ...
