First try with acrylic stock
Finished this up tonight - first try with acrylic! I used micro-mesh wet sanding and then a carnuba wax for the final polish. I don't take very good pictures - it looks better than this in person. Whole garage/shop smells like a nail salon!

Thanks everyone - this one is for my middle son, he likes things a little more modern - hence the wild colors.

Adam, a little advise that may help you! I found when sanding with the wet dry to use a little liquid chrome polish on the sand paper to wet it. By now you probably have figured out that when you are sanding at a high rate of speed the acrylic will get hot in a spot and wad up. Especially in the hard to get to areas like corners or edges of radius's. Mothers makes it and it comes in a tall bottle and is very fluid. Just an FYI that I found that works well. By the way job well done!

Excellent color combination. Looks very purty to me, and I am no spring chicken. Great job on your first acrylic brush, sir!
