Agreed. Not really a spectacular malt, but very good. Have not had the Ledaig at all. I will have to try that sometime. Seems most who have tried it speak highly of it.

Poured Tobermory 10 last night. An interesting malt I do not spend enough time with. Different and intriguing. Also been enjoying Dry Fly Distillery Washington Wheat. A nice daily indulgence.

Personally, I prefer Lagavulin to Laphroig. Cask strength... I don't think you could go wrong with that.

Haven't tried the QC but will someday. I can believe that if it is younger there would be more smoke, however. Finished a bottle of 18 year old recently and it is definitely more tame on the smokey...

Haven't been around here a lot, but have been enjoying whisky. Three bottles here that have met their demise. All of them were delicious.

Been away for a bit, but this is what I enjoyed over the holidays - Woodford Reserve Classic Malt. A Scotch-like offering from a bourbon distillery. Rather enjoyable.
