Had some more Oban 14 this morning after my night shift. I've never had a whisky taste so much like chocolate.

Talisker 10 for me. Can't beat the taste of dusty leather on a cold New England night.

I'm getting ready to break the seal on a bottle of Laphroaig and loving life.

Interesting that you'v opted for the ten year old. I think it's kind of overshadowed by quarter cask a bit, which is kind of a shame because it's awesome.

I agree. The quarter cask is younger (8 years old if I recall correctly) but in my opinion it has more smokey goodiness.

It was a gift bought locally. I don't think the quarter cask is stocked around here.

Haven't been around here a lot, but have been enjoying whisky. Three bottles here that have met their demise. All of them were delicious.

Haven't tried the QC but will someday. I can believe that if it is younger there would be more smoke, however. Finished a bottle of 18 year old recently and it is definitely more tame on the smokey front than the 10.

I'm thinking about buying a bottle of 18 year old. I had a bottle of fifteen year old years ago and that was really good. I've never been able to afford 18 until fairly recently, so it's on the list. Cask strength lagavulin too, I've heard good things about that.
