Lagavulin is the most delicious whisky I have ever tasted. Cheers!

Clynelish 16 y.o. Sherry butt, nice and smoky with a sweet sherry note. Needs a splash of water to release all the aroma.

I just had a look at that on the Vinmonopolet website. (That's the official Norwegian alcohol shop.) It looks good. I might indulge on payday.

I opened a bottle of Dalwhinnie 15 this morning after a night shift. Subtle stuff. Honey, a bit of brine and flowers and fruit and just a hint of wood smoke. I only added a small teaspoon of water but I think I'll use a little less next time, it tasted a bit washed out. It's subtle stuff but has a fairly long lasting and complex finish, which as far as I'm led to believe points to quality.

I have to laugh at some of this posts. The ones that go on about "A purest would not drink a blend, or would never add water, or Ice! what for?". What does a purest know about what you like? What I have heard that makes the most since to me is " The only bad bottle of Whisk(e)y is an empty one and the only wrong way to drink it, is before you Drive!".

I keep a bottle of Johnny Walker Black always "at the ready". Its one of my favorites amongst many single malt varieties out there and the blending balances it well so it appeals to almost any fan of Scotch.

I'm currently enjoying a couple of fingers of Tin Cup Colorado Whiskey while watching shaving videos on YouTube with the Shepherd. Typical Sat night I guess.

The Ileach cask strength. That is one impressive overwhelmingly awesome taste!
