I am working on a few other bottles at the moment as well, trying to empty them. Was on a trip about a month ago and ended up with 6 new ones. Currently resisting opening them until I finish some of these. Have Amrut Fusion and Glenkinchie 12 on the way down.
Glenkinchie 12 is very nice. I was surprised by how good it was, especially since it's a lowland and I wasn't expecting much flavour. I'm still finish typing up my review, but it should be done soon. Let us know how the Amrut Fusion is, I've never seen it for sale so I'm not sure if its available here.

My first DIY liquor! It's a very nice brandy distilled from a batch of white wine, added with some French oak chips.. I know it's not a whisk(e)y but by god, it tastes like sunshine.

    Glenmorangie 18. Delicious.

When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.

Opinions on the talisker 2002 distiller's edition (2013 bottling)?

I can get a bottle for about £50. Worth it?

I doubt I will be trying it. This one appears tough to find, and probably even tougher now. I am a huge Japanese whisky fan, though. No doubt in my mind it is very good. Best in the world? Well......

I agree with you, the Glenkinchie 12 surprised me as well. There is something about the lowland malts I can't quite pinpoint. They are good. I have a 21yr old single cask Bladnoch that is quite flavorful. It has a sweet flavor that is really nice.

The Amrut Fusion is similar to a speyside or highland malt in my opinion. Definitely worth trying if you see it at a good price.

Sounds interesting. I'll keep an eye out for it, maybe I can pick some up next time I'm in the UK. I just posted my Glenkinchie 12 review on my blog.
