I haven't had the the Talisker distiller's, but my preference is Lagavulin over Talisker. But that's a YMMV thing.

I still want to try that. Hoping to find it next time I travel.

Well worth the pursuit in my opinion. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I had heard of GlenGoyne, but not Burnfoot. Sounds alike a great dram.

It is Burnfoot was the brandname before it was changed to GlenGoyne.
I like it especially because it hasn't got the "signature" heavy sherry taste to it.

I am finishing my bottle of Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt tonight. It has been a nice experience, but my next purchase will be a return to single malts. Maybe Aberlour or an Islay whisky.

Had a good slosh of a blended malt today. It's not bad considering the low price and the fact that I didn't actually pay for it at all. Not the best whisky ever, as shown by the fact that I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, but perfectly adequate when your senses of taste and smell are hindered by a massive cold like mine are right now.
