I'm running a bit low on whisky at the moment -- below half on the three bottles I have and and the Yoichi and bunna are almost empty!

I plan to buy a bottle of auchentoshan three wood when I get paid. I also want a bottle of springbank 12 year old batch 9, maybe for my birthday next month...

Eyeing up a glenlivet 18 year old for the future, too.

Went out to eat tonight and decided to order a whisky. They had a couple of Bourbons I had not tried before so I ordered Jefferson's Borurbon.

It was an enjoyable whiskey but I would buy a bottle of Buffalo Trace, or better yet, a single malt before Jefferson's Bourbon.

I forgot to mention. When paying the bill we pointed out that my drink was not on the bill. The waiter told us not to worry about it!!! This is the second time in six months(actually 2 for 2 because I normally don't drink alcohol when dining out) I haven't had to pay for my drink.

Didn't buy auchentoshan. Picked up a bottle of aberlour 10 year old because it was on offer for £22.

Last night was a cigar and scotch night with my father-in-law, he decided it should be a night of sampling as well hence the multiple bottles. As for the cigar ( not pictured) we both enjoyed Dunhill coronas. Great way to end the day!

It is a 10 year old and was my first experience with Japanese scotch. FIL asked me my thoughts on it and my first word was, "interesting" not quite what I was expecting, but I enjoyed it none the less.
