Question around technique: with the synthetics should the tendency be to apply less pressure than with a natural stone such as the DT?

Would you say I am better off sticking with a Naniwa 10 or 12, or does brand matter less here?

I'm quite certain - after viewing links provided by Iceni - that these are both Naniwas.

I have considered an 8k, I keep looking at my DT however and thinking I should master that as a pre-finisher to my PHIG.
