I'm trying out the Bick on this after seeing how well it rehydrated Tom's boar hide strops. I have some 100% neatsfoot so if the Bick don't get me there I'll try that.

Not bad at all, just dry. I just cleaned it with Bick 1 and am slowly working a little Bick 4 into it to re-hydrate.

Freshly acquired from the wilds... AM Hone Co., Olean NY, Cushioned Strop Back Hone. Still has the box, although tattered, and that's probably why it's in such good shape. No gouges or chips also...

Thanks, yeah I used a belt sander until the pits were gone. It ate up a few belts, then I did some hand sanding dry and with wd40 up to 2000 until the scratches were out, then a drill with a buffing...
