Well, I can say this.
That was a great strop to use this morning! I believe it is now my go to without question.
Just a great feel with the thicker Cordovan and not really any difference in glide...

And you are correct, the linen is narrower than the suede and cordovan.
But as I said, this one is much more pliable and softer than the one that came with my 10000. I have also done...

Thanks, I am very lucky to have her that's for sure. And I have a 10k and now a 90k.
But I will say this, the 90 is one v e r y nice strop.
I hope your 80 has the softer linen this one came with

I received a 90000 today as a gift from my wife.
And as funny as it sounds, the linen on this one is as soft as the one I have been working on.

Not sure why, but it is more flexible and soft

Got a question on the process of softening the canvas strop. It says on the Aframe site "wrapping with Nagura to polish the surface of the canvas strop"
