Here it is after grinding the heal some. I need to work on this thing some more but I need to learn to hone before I go any farther I'm afraid. Its a long trip but its fun learning. Hope this heal...

Scales dont look as nice in this pic. Well, maybe after I do it over the pic will trun out better.

Ill try hammering on one of these and see what happens. As long as it dont crack or crumble i guess ill be ok.

These were the weights I was able to find at the hobby store. Just barely big enough. If I could melt them of flatten them just a little would be better. Guess I'll see how it comes out.

I find I love Horn as well. Might have to order some more, soon. thanks.

just made the wedge out of same material. That seems to be the tough part for me. Getting the right spacing and all. got it made now but will need to wait till tomorrow for the pinning.

OK guys. I ordered a horn blank on Ebay. Got it just the other day. Went at it today. Now this is the second set of scales I've ever made but the first set in horn. I got lots of help with questions...
