MAAS is a fine polishing compound, if you have gold wash on the blade though... it will take it off :(

For light rust that I find on Ebite blades I just use MAAS and a cotton swab, works great. I've not seen any come back after that treatment ether... So I'll keep doing it till it doesn't work :p
