Im in cobourg ontario. The handle is indeed ivory. I tried disassembling it and sanding it yesterday, I will post pictures later. Would this be acceptable to replace the leather.

Is this fixable or is it possible to get the leather replaced? Someone has sanded it with fairly rough sand paper.
