Bloody hell Mike. That's some great work done in short time. That heavy hand sanding can really pummel the hands, wrists and arms. There's something about bringing back to life a 150+ year old...

Scales look great Mike. Is it hair dye you painted on the scales to create the brown spot pattern?

Looking good Mike. You've laid some type of a white material on your sanding jig. Is that to stop the razor from getting marked and scratched on the timber? What is it you used?

I've been keeping an eye on the usual sources for old razors to restore, but I haven't found anything interesting at a reasonable price. So my box of 'razors to restore' is empty. :shrug:

I've owned this George Wostenholm & Son for a few years now but haven't used it much. The scales the razor came in were just too big, wide and heavy for the blade. Ugly too. Made it very difficult...
