I saw one listed on some auction site and they said something to the effect of "slots for 15 razors and a barber hone," but that may have just been their guess. That's what I took it to be at least....

My guess is a barber hone. I can't imagine a strip would fit in that slot. It is supposed to be a "barber box"

May seem like a little or dumb thing to some but I have wanted one of these for a long time. I saw one in an antique store and had the "got to have it"s.
