OK a couple of problems could have occurred,

1. The hole you drilled was Straight and the old one wasn't or the reverse..

2. The scales were not straight from the factory and now you are...

I know that everyone will roll their eyes at this one, but yes Electrical tape over the whole pin, works pretty darn good at this too.... Some people use a Dremel cutoff wheel and cut across the pin...

OK OK I'll go double check, but I think they are 7mm Rem Mags with Barnes X bullets on there, I was loading some custom loads for a couple of guys up here, and I can't remember which those are,...

Guys just a quick search on e-bay shows plenty of bench vises under $10 and if you have swap meets or flea markets you can buy them for $5 all day long....
I would really suggest picking one up...

Slide on the washer for a lock...Keep in mind that this can be done without a locking washer too, some of the older razors were done with just a peened pin,...

This is going to be a simple re-pin, there are tons of ways to make these even prettier, but those are on other threads.....

You need 1/16 rod, I use Brass or Nickel Silver (this one is NiAg)...

Note: how I used the jaws of the vise just barely opened to set the razor on while I gently tap out the pins.....
