This is another easy peasy improvement on the system

The funnel directs the steam to make it even easier to shape warped scales,, I came up with the idea...

I was thinking along the same lines, Twisted, when I saw the original thread. Perhaps something like a Popsicle stick held in there, then put in the press .. some type of bracing at the least...

All the new system is

Two pieces of 1/2 inch thick oak 7x3

Multiple 1/4 inch holes drilled randomly through the middle of them...

The spacer method works, but as noted you are "spacing" it against the other scale, basically the spacer method works for fixing the bows but doesn't work so hot for fixing bends :)

I dipped them for 15 pulled them out re-dipped for 15 and finished tightening
