On top of the finish I use only Renaissance Wax now.. it is rather expensive but it goes a long long way...
Before using that, I used plain old Johnson Paste wax in the big yellow can. :)

Not sure here if you are asking what wax to use on top of a "finish" or if you are asking if a wax and oil mixture can be used "as the finish"... Also we are talking about for razor scales I am...
