This was my first time working with that wood. It's got to be the most dense stuff I've ever used. Not cheap up our way either! It started taking a polish when I was sanding it... -

The blade took a lot of aggressive grinding to get rid of the pitting - and it's still not all gone. I tried to get it back up to a mirror shine, but I don't seem to have the patience for that....

Hello guys -
When I first decided to try a straight razor, I went a little nuts on ebay. Picked up 10 or 15 rusty old blades...and now, 7 months later I have my first finished product. I cleaned up...
