Thanked: 7My first restoration / scales
Hello guys -
When I first decided to try a straight razor, I went a little nuts on ebay. Picked up 10 or 15 rusty old blades...and now, 7 months later I have my first finished product. I cleaned up this blade a while back, but I got inspired today and made a set of scales. They are brazilian rosewood with an oak spacer.

You have the blade looking very, very nice compared to how you got it.
Also I really like the black grain in the wood near the end of the scale. It gives it just a little more "spark".

Thanked: 267You worked your butt off. I am from Brazil and there is nothing like Brazilian Rosewood. You did a very nice job.
