Caol Ila 12 yr for me tonight. I saved a bit in the glass and as a dessert, put a small spoonful of good ice cream in the glass. The Caol Ila coated the ice cream. A nice micro treat.

Good choice. Ardbeg 10 is one of my all time favorites. If I live the rest of my days always having a bottle of it to draw from when I'm inclined, such a notion just seems right.

I've had higher hopes for Jamesons and Bushmills as well. I have a bottle of Bushmills Single Malt 10 and occasionally go back to it, but I don't find it very complex and overall not very inspiring....
