I switched from "Use Forum Default" to "Default Style" under "Edit Options" in the User CP.

Apparently my Firefox doesn't like drawing the welcome box on the right side of the page....weird.

Better than before. CPU usage is still up when Java is enabled, reduced slightly.

The memory leak thing is much improved with Java on or off.

Definitely more usable.

Got it. Installed it.

After 5 minutes with Java enabled it looks like this might be the cure. If I don't whine my way back to this thread, then it worked.

An update on this old thread. Disabling all Firefox extensions has no effect. I still get massive memory leaks and elevated page faults when signed in. Happens whenever I allow Java. When it is not...

It's probably one of my recently updated extensions (the only changes that I'm aware of in over a month). I'll try disabling them incrementally.

It's extremely weird, but unmistakably only when I am signed in. Why it doesn't happen when editing/making a post is also strange.

Since the latest changes to the site over the last month my Firefox slows to a crawl when I am signed in (90% to 100% cpu usage). When I sign out, Firefox no longer has slowdown. There is also no...
