The 2 Little Devil hones that I have had were...
The 2 Little Devil hones that I have had were definitely not suitable as a finishing hone, they are far to coarse. I rated mine as approx 1000 grit. Yours may be different?

You would be taking a chance on removing the abrasive grit.
They used to sell for a nice amount on Ebay.
They are a coarse stone. Might be used to set a bevel. -

I had one also. Thats how I found out that some were a solid grit all tru the hone and others, like mine, were just glazed with an abrasive. Once I lapped it the abrasive grain went away.
