I've never been to Au but a few of my ropes and some other gear have scaled up Ayers Rock, before it was illegal that is.

I don't know if it's different in Au but otherwise "Bouldering" is climbed outdoors, on low height, just for fun, to test out some moves or to play with some climbing problem.
