if your going to be a stock remover like me (i forge for fun)
the you can use any of those steels
but the D2 and ats34 you will... -

thats easy :) none of them for hand forging and...

for hand forging and heat treat 1084 is the steel to use as its more forgiving in heat treat adn can still be run withina point of max hardness of 1095
of those 3 tho...
