It could be that most straight shavers haven't had the opportunity to shave with a blade sharpened on the nakayama. I know I'd like to at some point :) I would guess though that a course beard...

Not me. In fact, I have yet to be able to even get a shave from a Norton 8,000 grit hone. It yanks on my hair. Others can, and I'm happy for them :) Maybe someday I will be able to
