Thanks for clearing that up, Tim. I was wondering if perhaps it had something to do with the intended purpose (holding cigars) i.e. humidors are Spanish Cedar. It sounds like that was not a reason...

A very nice box indeed. I am curious about the choice of wood; was there any reason to choose cherry over anything else?
