Instead of shaving my spacer, I just rotate it a bit when opening and closing the blade. You should be able to shave it with a narrow file without depinning, but I don't have a file that would work....

A big plus one on scale shrinkage. I've had a few of the Case Red Imps come through my hands, and they seem quite prone to shrinkage.

I think they also used a low quality glue, as loose spacers...
