I'd set the bevel again, start from square one. Go to 8k and test. See where it was at ....... just what I would do. YMMV.

Randy told me early on to stop using the 12k just because I had it, and first shave test after the 8k. If it shaved well at 8k move up the grit ladder to the subsequent finishers of choice. Not sure...
