I've got that one too, and it is quite the brush, but mine ain't even slightly scritchy, though it has the backbone. :shrug: You got lucky ........ if you like scritchy .... :)

I've read that boar brushes require a break in. I've gotten 3 of them, all Semogues, 2 used and broken in apparently, and 1 new which didn't require a break in AFAIC. Worked well from the git go. But...

I've had quite a few badger brushes, including Simpson, Plisson, Rooney, Shavemac, Thater, among others, and I don't recall any of them 'breaking in.' Seems to me they worked well right from jump...
