Let the seller know your concerns. Ask him for a measurement from heel to point. If you're not going to consummate the deal than let him know so he can offer it to the next guy.

My Wonderedge measures 3" from the back of the heel to the point. Check yours out when you get it. He has a 7 day return policy if you're not satisfied with it.

One thing you have going for you is that guy sells a lot of razors. I don't know him but giving him the benefit of the doubt if he did the work or had it done it probably was done professionally...
