    Gary it depends on the blade I am starting with. For awhile I was starting at 15 to 5 but since Lynn's tutorial in the Wiki I've had real good results with the 25 to 25 start and then following it...

    Just what I am doing lately... Naniwa...

    Just what I am doing lately... Naniwa SuperStones, the 20mm thick ones with no base. I use a 1k to set a bevel and then the 3k and 5k in a pyramid as you would do with a Norton 4/8.
