No Ben, not bone. Wish they were. :) I will see about polishing them too though, as I've done with pipe mouthpieces. Should shine up to a nice gloss black.

I believe they are Bakelite or hard rubber. They have that greenish hue that pipe stems get from exposure to sun or florescent light. The pins are brass and looking at them with a 7x loupe I think...
