Elbow grease, a paper towel and metal polish
This Wosty barber's use here came to me today. It is Item number:180509111777 if the link doesn't work. Check out the photos in the auction and you'll see just what the blade looked like when I took it out of the box. I'm unable to capture them with the Firefox browser for some reason. I applied a light coat of Wenol, my favorite metal polish, and let it sit for thirty minutes. The one paper towel you see and some elbow grease for a minute and here it is now. Not perfect but acceptable for me. YMMV.

Apologies for the poor quality of the images. As much the fault of the photographer as the limitations of the first generation Mavica Floppy disc camera.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Oh very nice Jimmy. I don't have any blades that wide, but I love the look of them. How do they shave?

I believe they are Bakelite or hard rubber. They have that greenish hue that pipe stems get from exposure to sun or florescent light. The pins are brass and looking at them with a 7x loupe I think they are original. They have a green grunge on them that indicates to me that they've been in there a long time and the scales are a perfect fit. Hard to say if they are original though. A bit of flattening on the spine and no chips to the naked eye. One small one a third of the way up from the heel under the 30x eye loupe. We'll have to see how she hones up and shaves.

Ah I was in on that one too. Very nice blade, Jimmy. Clearly I'm jealous. And she cleaned up beautifully too.

Dylan, did you see that Joseph Elliot barbers use the following day ? I was set to go $150 but never got the chance. It finished at $255.00 with a crack at the pivot and the guy said it had a couple of chips in the bevel. An inch and an eighth blade though and I wanted that bad boy.
