Here are a few photos for comparison. The pearl scaled is the Takeda steel. The flash obscures the engraving but it is just engraved Takeda Steel on the reverse tang. One is as good as the other IMO...

Yes I've got a Takeda steel and a Takeda Dam by Livi. Both are super shavers. If you get with Don maybe he could pull some strings and get Livi to furnish what you want. It is very understated...
