Welcome to SRP Spencer. It isn't necessary before the first time. If you know how to strop it wouldn't hurt anything, but if you don't it is possible that you might dull the razor. Give shaving a try...

They shave amazing as well. I'm pretty sure that RW still has not reached the 200 limit, but he can't be too far off. You don't pay $ until your razor is ready to ship. :gl:

I've not had that model. The obvious difference is that it is not a folding razor. A deal breaker for me, although like the SRP LE, most guys who've posted about them have been very happy with them....

Spine width. Even on three pin razors the width of the spine will limit the travel through the scales .
