I like to put edges on the edge of my edges when honing!:nj

The diagonal streaks are oil residue. The edge I do not think is obscured by this.

The faint lines perpendicular to the edge are caused, I believe by the Dovo white paste.

I don't remember how long ago I honed this razor (Tuckmar stainless), but I hit it up with Dovo white pasted canvas prior to every shave, and it has been giving me great shaves for quite some time...
