Back in the day the were a million and one different razors out there and probably 99% would give you a great shave. It's more in this day and age we have the known questionable razors.

Names or brands are meaningless. It's all hype. If it's quality steel it will be a great shaver. Folks get fixated on a brand and over time the fixation moves on.
