    I'll be lookin for some pics of your scales, sounds cool. I am very worried about the first set of cocobolo scales handling drilling and pinning- nylon might be the way to go, good idea.

    Its lacewood- some nicer lacewood than I usually see for sale, I know I love the grain also. Its my favorite scale shape that I've thought up so far, glad you like it too.

    You know I almost cut out end grain for that...

    You know I almost cut out end grain for that purpose out of some spalted maple I have but knew it wouldnt hold. The metal is a good idea.
