Japanese steel always takes a good edge. It becomes a matter of the geometry , how easy it is to hone & shave with. We don't do valuations but one could say these are greatly devalued.

Like I thought. A ton of wear. The middle ones will make good knives. The end ones I wouldn't bother with either tho they may shave..

The fact he is trying to sell them with such a photo is suspicious to me.
