Thanks Peter. That's EXACTLY what I wanted to hear. What do you think of doing something similar with brass tubing instead of using a pop rivet? That would reduce quite a bit of blade wobble.

I was also kicking the idea around with Nenad as he mentioned their possible applicability to straight razors. When Peter mentioned the use of the collar, I thought there was something to it.

Yeah, that would be a big issue, especially when honing/stropping. That's where balance and tension REALLY kick in with their importance.
